Where is the best place to purchase good royalty-free underground hip-hop instrumentals?
I am starting a website that will feature “freestyles/written raps” every week. I need instrumentals but I don’t want any legal trouble, so I figure royalty free music is the way to go. But I am looking for east coast, underground hip hop-style beats. The same flavor as DJ Premier, The Alchemist, 4th Disciple, 9th Wonder, etc. Does such a thing exist? All the royalty free beats I have found are way too commercial or Dirty South. Please help! Thanks.

All of the joints are original, free, royalty-free, and unlimited license. I don’t think any of them have samples in them. You want to make sure you avoid any free beats that use samples. Even if the beat is free, you will need to clear the samples and that won’t be cheap. Please tell us what you’re site is. I’m very curious to see it. If I were you, I’d try to contact that website.
