How do I use copyrighted songs on Youtube?
I am able to apply for the Youtube Partnership Program, but I used the track “Spacewalk” by Lemon Jelly in my video, so there are more than likely copyright issues. How can I solve the problem? Is the only choice either changing the music to something royalty free, or to purchase the right to use the song?
I want to apply for the partnership, so posting this on another channel is counterproductive for me. And since it is mandatory that I am legally able to use the song, just posting in the description isn’t a suitable option.
It looks like I will just have to pay the royalties then?
In the despcription box put a dislaimer
such as
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THE AUDIO, NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED.
i do this on all my videos with copyrighted songs and they never get taken :]
as long as you state that you don own it its fine :]
