Public Domain Music Mp3

yahoo 360: Do you host your own mp3 files, or do you link to public domain sources?

I’m curious to know how the community is making use of the audio-file capabilities in the blast section on the 360 page.

I’ve been hosting mp3 files from my personal collection on my domain, but I’m concerned about heat from the RIAA, so now I’m trying to limit my music-selections to music in the public domain. Am I exposing myself to risk/liability if I host a file (ONE FILE) that a listener would otherwise have to pay for?

Sorry, I guess I miss read the Q.
Lets try again…

By what Ive read, I think you are exposing yourself….

In the case of hosting, providers are only exempted if they have no actual knowledge of ‘apparent’ illegal content and, if so, act expeditiously to remove the content.
