Does anyone know where I can find easy/beginner piano sheet music for Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances?
I need a free copy- this is NOT ILLEGAL, in the United States this piece is in the public domain- meaning it is NOT against the law to download it for free.
I don’t think i’ve ever seen simplified arrangements of those, but the third dance actually isn’t that hard to begin with, so why not start with that one and work your way from there. there’s also no law that says you have to learn them all at once or in order, right:)?

You make a fundamental mistake in your question. The actual music might be in the public domain, but there may be copyright in the printed version for one reason or another (design, arrangement etc.) It is the same with music on CD – where there is a definite copyright in the performance and recording. If there is a download site which makes scores of 'public domain' music freely available, then that's OK. There are many sites which have, for example, full opera librettos available.
People comment on the request for 'free' music because there appear to be so many 'freeloaders' about
