Voice/Music recording/editing software?
i want to record someone (a friend or me) singing along the background music (instrumental MP3) that i have. i’m only using my laptop and the built in mic. it is only ok if i am recording both music (playing the guitar) and singing the same time. however, the mic doesn’t really catch the bass tones.
the problem with my current software (actually it is a video software cyberlink power director) is that the recorded voice seemed to be delayed with the music. although the timing is correct while singing it. please suggest a good software that i can use and if you know where i could download…free is better of course. =)
thanks.
since steve_loir mentioned it (thanks for giving me the idea)…please suggest a good yet cheap microphone and/or hardware i should use. i am not a pro though, but i like doing those stuff. thanks =)
Audacity is good.

The microphones built in to laptops are meant just for webcams.
Buy a proper one.
