Downloadable Royalty Free Music

Royalty Free Music Question?

I bought a video editing software that contained sfx & music tracks as well. Are those considered “royalty free”? If so, are you able to use them in downloadable content? Like apps.

You can look for a license agreement to be certain of your rights, but most likely the tracks are royalty free. “Royalty free” licensing is typically the right to use the music as part of a production. So, if it’s background music and sound effects for your app, you should be fine. If you’re trying play the music or sell the music by itself that is likely not allowed. SmartSound Music comes included with a lot of video editing software. Here’s the link to their royalty free music license agreement: http://www.smartsound.com/products/licenseinfo.html
